Staff Accountant
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Fully Onsite)
Pay: $55,000 - $65,000

We are partnering with a growing organization headquartered in West Michigan to hire a Staff Accountant for their corporate accounting team. Responsibilities

• 
  

  Prepare and post journal entries and assist with the month-end close process

  
  


• 
  

  Manage prepaids and accruals, ensuring accurate monthly entries

  
  


• 
  

  Review CapEx items, inventory activity, and property tax items as part of monthly accounting processes

  
  


• 
  

  Research and reconcile uncleared checks and assist with unclaimed property filings

  
  


• 
  

  Support accounting compliance and reporting requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with financial analysis and account reconciliations as needed

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize systems for accounting processes and reporting

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

  
  


• 
  

  3–5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or similar environment

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities

  
  


• 
  

  Intermediate Excel skills required

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with ERP systems preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Sales tax experience is a plus
