Construction Controller
Prince George’s County | 100% On-Site
Salary: $140,000–$160,000

A well-established construction company in the Mid-Atlantic is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a close-knit, operationally sound environment.

Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).


• Construction industry experience required with a minimum of 2+ years of management experience.


• CPA preferred, not required.


• Proven experience leading accounting teams and complex financial operations.


• Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and leadership presence.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations across construction and manufacturing entities.


• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong controls and accurate reporting.


• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.


• Oversee job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and financial statements.


• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and internal policies.


• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
