Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Analyze deferred revenue, subscriptions, and billing activity
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Partner with billing, sales operations, and finance teams
• Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or SaaS experience is a plus)
• Basic understanding of GAAP; exposure to ASC 606 preferred
