Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Overview:
Our client in the Poughkeepsie area is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join their growing team. This role will play a key part in supporting daily supply chain operations, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal stock levels
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to manage timelines, pricing, and order accuracy
- Assist with demand planning and forecasting to support production and sales needs
- Identify and resolve supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and reporting within ERP systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or inventory management
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
