STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis


• The Staff Accountant will record journal entries related to prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and capitalization


• Review and audit accounts payable activity to ensure accurate coding and posting


• Evaluate invoices and spending to confirm proper expense classification


• The Staff Accountant will cross-train on accounts receivable cash application processes


• Maintain familiarity with select customer accounts to support AR continuity


• The Staff Accountant will support general ledger accuracy and assist with month-end close activities


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data is complete and accurate

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable


• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles


• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader accounting team
