Process Technician - Defect Inspection
onsemi is seeking a Process Technician - Defect Inspection in Hopewell Junction, NY. This job role is for a Defect application technician. Technicians in this role provide day-to-day line support to the sector, including lot hold, tool disposition, recipe builds, and execution of engineering experiments. Application technicians work a 12-hour shift schedule in the cleanroom. N2 backend compress shift.
N2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 6:30 pm -7 am
Responsibilities
Day to day operation support of the sector within 12hr shift schedule.
Work closely with applications engineers, analysts and production teams.
Recipe builds on Bare wafer, Brightfield, Darkfield, Macro Inspection and SEM review tools
Recover from process and tool interruptions, including lot and equipment disposition
Authors department work instructions and procedures
Perform engineering experiments
Identify ways to improvement tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost. Participates in continuous improvement.
Train new team members
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Qualifications
Education
HS Diploma, AAS degree strongly preferred.
Experience
3yrs semiconductor cleanroom experience
Strong, effective communications and Leadership / Teamwork skills are required.
Language Fluency
Fluent in English Language
written & verbal
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 -$36.92 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
