Hiring 1st Shift Crate Assembler in Camp Hill, PA!
This role focuses on building and packaging wooden crates and related products in a first-shift manufacturing environment. You will use hand tools, power tools, and basic computer systems to assemble, package, and ship products, while also interacting with customers and supporting day-to-day shop operations.
Responsibilities
Build and assemble wooden crates and related products using hand tools and power tools.
Perform packaging and kitting of products to prepare orders for shipment.
Enter shipping and order information into the computer accurately for tracking and documentation purposes.
Learn and operate a band saw after training to support production needs.
Work in a manufacturing or construction-style environment, following safety and quality standards.
Assist with the majority of daily shop tasks, including general production and material handling, due to the small crew size.
Support shop operations when the production manager is traveling by helping to run day-to-day activities as needed.
Work directly with customers in a professional manner when required.
After permanent hire, train to drive a box truck and assist with runs to other facilities.
Handle and work with wood products throughout the production and packaging process.
Essential Skills
Experience working with hand tools and power tools in a professional setting.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to use a computer for shipping and data entry purposes.
Experience operating machinery in a production or construction environment.
Experience using a forklift.
Comfort working with wood products on a daily basis.
Ability to take on a wide range of tasks and work independently in a small shop setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Packaging and kitting experience is a plus.
Experience working directly with customers is a plus.
Willingness to be trained to operate a band saw.
Willingness to be trained to drive a box truck after permanent hire.
Interest in growing into a lead role as opportunities arise.

The role involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, machinery, forklifts, and computers in a manufacturing-style setting. After permanent hire, you will also drive a box truck to support runs to other facilities. The environment centers on working with wood products and maintaining safe, efficient production operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
