Location: Seattle, WA
Salary Range: $70,720 – $83,200 DOE


Our client, a well-respected leader in affordable housing management, is seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Responsibilities


As the Property Accountant, you will:




  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and compare results to budget




  • Manage accounting functions for multiple affordable housing properties, ensuring compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and other regulatory requirements




  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and tenant ledgers




  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, annual audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews




  • Collaborate with property managers and asset management teams to resolve financial discrepancies




This position offers broad exposure to property accounting, reporting, and compliance within a collaborative and high-performing team.


Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required




  • 5–7 years of property accounting experience, with affordable housing experience required




  • Proficiency in RealPage OneSite or similar property management software




  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, and advanced Excel skills




  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently
