Location: Plymouth, Indiana
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% On-Site



Payroll Manager – Overview


We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee wages. The Payroll Manager will manage payroll systems, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and work closely with HR and accounting teams to support the organization’s payroll functions.


The ideal Payroll Manager will bring strong leadership, attention to detail, and experience managing payroll processes in a fast-paced environment.


Payroll Manager – Responsibilities




  • Manage the full payroll cycle including weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll processing




  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions




  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations




  • Oversee payroll tax filings and ensure timely payments




  • Manage payroll records, reporting, and reconciliation




  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies




  • Coordinate with HR regarding employee data, benefits, and compensation updates




  • Prepare payroll reports for leadership and finance teams




  • Support audits and maintain payroll documentation and compliance




  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies




Payroll Manager – Qualifications




  • 5+ years of payroll experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role




  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements




  • Experience managing full-cycle payroll for multi-employee organizations




  • Proficiency in payroll systems and HRIS platforms




  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills




  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills




  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities




Preferred Experience




  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, UKG, or Workday




  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification




  • Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or multi-location organizations
