About the Financial Analyst Role
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
Maintaining and improving existing financial models
- Examples include a 5-year global cash flow model used for board reporting.
- These models need ongoing maintenance and, ultimately, a rebuild for greater efficiency.
Reporting and Data Visualization
- Using Power BI and Power Query to develop data models and dashboards.
- For example, there’s a wealth of data that needs to be reported—create visualizations and train managers on how to use that data effectively.
Financial Analysis
- Building models to interpret data and uncover insights that drive decision-making.
Tools and Skills
- Advanced Excel skills with strong modeling experience
- Solid financial modeling experience
- Some accounting knowledge (balance sheet and income statement)
- Understanding of data models (e.g., Excel Data Model)
