Accounting Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN (south side)
Compensation: $120,000–$125,000 depending on experience
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) after training period

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.


• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.


• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cost‑of‑goods‑sold reporting.


• Partner with plant operations to analyze production costs, scrap, labor efficiency, and margin performance.


• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.


• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.


• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities.


• Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing.


• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard cost systems.
