Public Accountant

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with audit, review, and compilation engagements for a variety of clients.

  • Perform detailed audit procedures, including testing of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Support clients with accounting questions, reconciliations, and process improvements.

  • Research and resolve accounting and audit issues as they arise.

  • Maintain accurate workpapers and clear documentation of audit procedures.

  • Collaborate with engagement managers and senior accountants to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, professional communication.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

  • 5–15 years of public accounting experience; audit experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit standards.

  • Proficiency with accounting and audit software; experience with CaseWare, CCH, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements.

  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
