Job Description:
Location: Edison, New Jersey
CoWorx Staffing Services has immediate 6-Week/temp Blending Operator openings with a fantastic, employee-focused client in the Edison, NJ area!
Responsibilities:
Check blend schedule to determine work priority.
Fill out labels legibly with required information, including Blend Number, Work Order, and date.
Fill blend samples and route them to the QC lab at the time of production.
Ensure all materials are properly covered and labeled when leaving the blend room, including partials in transfer containers.
Ensure all paperwork submitted with samples to QC is fully signed and initialed in the appropriate fields.
Ensure correct materials and proper weights for each raw material are staged.
Review production records for required ingredients and retrieve all necessary materials from the warehouse prior to starting production.
Inspect all incoming materials for damage or expiration; bring any questionable materials to the lab for evaluation.
Obtain all required partials and stage them for loading.
Verify the blender is clean and properly connected before loading.
Add ingredients in the order specified by the formula after confirming weights, names, and lot information.
Understand and operate equipment used for milling and screening raw materials according to instructions.
Desired Background/Skills:
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred experience in nutraceutical or solid dosage manufacturing.
Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift and perform bending and stretching.
Good oral communication skills to complete work assignments as instructed.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
One to two years of warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
