CFS has partnered with a manufacturing company in seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support and advance their accounting operations in Lexington, MA. This individual will play a key role in strengthening processes, improving SOPs, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

Assistant Controller Key Responsibilities



  • Lead core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, and financial reporting support.

  • Develop, enhance, and document SOPs to improve efficiency across the accounting function.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate financial data.

  • Support audits and prepare required schedules and documentation.

  • Assist with special projects involving systems, reporting, and operational enhancements.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Assistant Controller or strong Senior Accountant level).

  • Strong GL and reconciliation skills

  • Proven experience improving accounting processes and building SOPs.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

    Salary Range
    $110,000-$130,000
