Accountant Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records with a strong focus on data integrity and organization
- Utilize Excel for data queries, extraction, and reporting analysis
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- The Accountant will support budgeting and financial tracking across organizational functions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with leadership to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
- The Accountant will assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation as needed
What We’re Looking For in an Accountant
- 3+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit or public-sector experience preferred)
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, queries, and reporting functions
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data integrity
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
