Certified Nursing Assistant Cna Inpatient Unit Hospice
Provides personal care to patients according to the assignment details and care plan. Documents patient care and observations timely and appropriately. Participates in end-of-life care for patients and families. Informs the registered nurse of any changes in the patient's condition. Follows the schedule of care, including making several visits per day with travel. Assists patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitors and records vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration. Supports patients with mobility and exercise as prescribed. Provides emotional support and companionship to patients. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Other duties as assigned.
Hours: Dayshift Full-Time 7am-7:30pm with every other weekend.
Location: Covering the Altamonte Springs IPU but must be able to cover the Orlando and Kissimmee IPUs when census requires.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Personal Care
Documentation methods
End of Life Care
Compassionate care
Multi task with changing scheduling
Must maintain at least 12 contact hours of education annually
Interactions with stressful end of life issues
Computer Skills including excel, word
Good phone etiquette
Critical thinking skills
Knowledge of TEAMS meetings
Knowledge of EPIC patient software
Knowledge of telephone protocol and ability to operate a multi-line phone system
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv
Field of Study:

Work Experience:
Experience in the health care field
Hospice experience
Additional Information:
Hospice Aide training from an approved 75 hour training course
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support
CPR Cert (BLS)
Driver's License (DL)
