Mechanical Assembler
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the industrial sector, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting manufacturing and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Jamaica, NY
Pay Range: $16.50 - $17 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday Duration: Temp-to-hire
What's the Job?
Follow verbal instructions in the assembly of mirror components, arms, and harnesses for fleet vehicles and trucks.
Communicate to team lead or supervisor when components are damaged or unusable.
Work independently and as part of an assembly team to meet production goals.
Reference engineering drawings and follow detailed assembly instructions.
Use quality checklists to ensure product standards are met and record labor hours using software (Epicor).
What's Needed?
High School diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of manufacturing experience required
Ability to speak and understand English.
Reliable and punctual attendance.
Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate all areas of the facility safely.
