Machine Operator

Food Manufacturing

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining food production equipment to ensure consistent product quality, efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate food manufacturing machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures
Set up, adjust, and change over equipment for different products or production runs
Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Inspect products to ensure they meet quality, weight, and appearance standards
Identify and report mechanical issues, defects, or safety concerns
Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance
Accurately complete production, quality, and downtime documentation
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams
Qualifications
Previous experience as a machine operator in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred
Understanding of GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards
Ability to read and follow work instructions, recipes, and production schedules
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Willingness to work assigned shifts, including overtime if required

This is a Permanent position based out of Wayne, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
