Reports To: Production Supervisor
Exemption Status: Union UAW - Hourly
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Fits, installs, and secures material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, and/or staples.
Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established procedures.
Verifies all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
Takes measurements and aligns material puts together parts to build more complex units using glue spray guns, air tools, air clamps and other machinery or methods as required.
Checks product to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintains equipment and workspace is in good condition.
Performs inventory transactions in the system as required.
Inputs production quantities and time data.
Create product and box labels.
Reports on issues, malfunction, or defective parts.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of relevant experience
Skills & Abilities:
Basic computer knowledge.
Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, tape measure (including decimals), etc.
Ability to use hands to pull and stretch fabric to ensure a good fit.
Good understanding of quality control principles.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
Ability to work regular schedules set forth by the Management team.
Working Conditions:
Standing for entire shift.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Able to twist, bend, stoop as needed.
Requires strenuous physical labor.
Safety glasses are required.
