PBX Operator

Operates a PBX computerized call processing system receiving a high volume of incoming calls, placing outgoing local and long distances calls, announcing overhead requests, paging personal as well as use radio communication dispatch system for contacting security and engineering Team Members.
Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Answers multi-line PBX Console,
Directs incoming & outgoing calls, pages, makes public announcements
Operate computerized call processing system.
Direct incoming and outgoing calls to the appropriate destination.
Immediately report system malfunctions following established protocols.
Respond to customer requests with a high level of professionalism on the telephone or via two-way radio
Maintain composure and demonstrate a compassionate and pleasant manner at all times
Operate emergency alarm systems following notification protocols for disasters and alarms.
Operate overhead paging system professionally
Communicate in a professional and easily understood manner.
Process requests for Interpretation and Translation Services, TTY services, and dispatch Interpreters to service locations
Keyboard proficiency - minimum 40 WPM

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Prefer hotel or customer service experience.
Machinery or Work Equipment Used:
PBX system, personal computer, radio console and remote, printers, fax machine, headset.
