Packaging Supervisor
Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a Packaging Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing daily packaging operations to ensure finished products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently. This role ensures full compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Packaging Supervisor will lead and support packaging associates, coordinate production schedules, and enforce adherence to company policies, cGMPs, USDA/FDA requirements, and workplace safety standards within a food manufacturing environment.
What's the Job?
Supervise and coordinate daily packaging operations to meet production targets and schedules.
Ensure packaging activities comply with food safety standards, including cGMP, and FDA regulations.
Oversee packaging lines, equipment setup, changeovers, and line clearances.
Monitor product quality, packaging accuracy, labeling, and documentation.
Train, coach, and evaluate packaging team members to ensure productivity and compliance.
Enforce safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Address production issues, troubleshoot equipment or process problems, and implement corrective actions.
What's Needed?
3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or packaging operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
Experience supervising hourly production staff.
Familiarity with packaging equipment and production workflows.
Ability to read and understand production schedules, SOPs, and specifications.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
