Bus Driver (Part-Time)
We are presently accepting applications for the following position:
BUS DRIVER (PART-TIME) (10-Months) 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR BERGEN AVENUE
Qualifications:
Hold a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger and school bus endorsement
Hold a High School diploma or equivalent
Have a minimum of two years of previous safe driving experience
Have a minimum of three years' experience operating a school or commercial bus
Have sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems and make appropriate repairs
Demonstrate the ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure the safety and well-being and protect against vandalism
Demonstrate compliance with DOT physical examination and Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements prior to employment
Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation in accordance with statute
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
Experience working with Special Needs Students
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
Demonstrate computer literacy to be able to enter transportation information in software utilized by the district, preferred
Must be able to perform physical work which requires frequent bending and lifting
Rate: $33.00/hour
Hours: 20 - 29.5 hrs/week (10-months with availability to work summer hours)
