Drop Bury Manager
to join our team in
Victorville, CA
(15371 Bonanza Rd Victorville, CA 92392)
. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of managing our drop bury department and will include training, quality performance, productivity and daily management.

The Role
Manage multiple subcontract crews, direct and coach crews on drop cable placement based on customer and contract requirements
Ensure that quality standards are met and provide daily reports to leadership
Travel within market will be required
Lead, direct and coach multiple underground cable placement crews
Establish and monitor clearly defined key performance indicators
Hire, train and develop exempt and non-exempt personnel
Responsible for fiscal budgets forecasts and operating expense management
Develop, maintain and maximize effective positive relationships/partnerships with clients and customers
Manage effective utilization, performance and career development for staff
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and maintenance programs
Ensure adherence to company safety program and policies
Partner with internal/external business partners to develop, document, implement effective work strategies to improve operational/financial performance
Review at least 10% of all work completed by each technician monthly and coaching on any deficiencies
Exceed all client and company performance metrics for the team
Maintain and enforce company, federal, and state rules and regulations
Document appropriate employee disciplinary actions and administer as needed
Ensure that resources are secured and maintained in proper working order
Will be team's "expert" as it relates to tools and information designed to enhance business results
Ensure all work is constructed and completed in strict compliance with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations
Travel to sites as needed - up to 50% annually
Be knowledgeable and follow all One Call laws, rules and regulations
Train on various types of equipment and all TAK requirements
Attend weekly safety meetings held by TAK Communications
Make careful examinations of the work site and of the plans, specifications, construction sheets and maps to become informed as to the location and nature of the proposed construction
Other duties as requested
Requirements
2+ years as a Broadband Technician or equivalent work experience preferred
1+ years of prior management experience preferred
Ability to manage field crews and frontline team members
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
Working knowledge of National Electric Code, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) laws and regulations, and related state and local codes is helpful
Must have a professional demeanor
Must possess the capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly.
Ability to manage stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies and uphold the mission of the organization
Ability to work with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutions
Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather and always of the day or night
Ability to work long or irregular hours
Must be able to travel up to 50% annually
Operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with the position
Ability to work while standing 50 to 70% of the time
