The PLC Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support production operations by troubleshooting equipment, improving manufacturing processes, and assisting with the development and maintenance of custom machinery. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with a mechanical or technical background who enjoys problem‑solving and working with a variety of automation and production technologies.
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and chemical systems
Troubleshoot custom machinery and testing equipment in a high‑paced production environment
Support engineers with the design, development, and implementation of new or modified tooling, fixtures, and equipment
Work with automation technologies, including PLCs (Allen Bradley), HMI interfaces, vision systems (Keyence, Cognex), and robotic systems (Fanuc, Epson)
Use hand tools, machine tools, and fabrication equipment to repair or modify components and systems
Stay current with industry best practices through training, publications, and peer collaboration
PLC Manufacturing Engineering Technician Qualifications:
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
Familiarity with a variety of diagnostic tools and measuring instruments
Working knowledge of electronic systems, analog/digital circuitry, hydraulics, and machine automation principles
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role preferred
