Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role involves unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials in the inventory and on the manufacturing line.
Responsibilities
Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
Utilize computers for data entry and manage Excel sheets.
Maintain records of merchandise shipped.
Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on the manufacturing line.
Prepare kitting packages or conduct inventory counts as needed.
Complete the put-away function of received goods.
Label products according to customer requirements.
Operate a forklift if re-certified.
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to regularly lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency in data entry and Excel.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Inventory management experience.
Experience with cycle counts.
Forklift operation skills.
Material handling experience.
Experience with a pallet jack.
