We are seeking a motivated Housekeeping/Custodial Lead to guide crews responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of park lodging facilities, including 60 modern cabins, 40 lodge hotel-style rooms, and multiple restroom and shower facilities. Job Duties:
Housekeeping & Custodial Leadership:
Lead and coordinate housekeeping crews responsible for cleaning and preparing 60 modern cabins and 40 lodge hotel-style rooms.
Maintain professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic, and encourage the same from team members when working without direct supervision.
Oversee cleaning and sanitation of restroom and shower facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Ensure rooms and cabins are properly prepared for incoming guests, including making beds and folding linens to established standards.
Safely use and oversee the proper handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and product instructions.
Ensure convenience items such as soaps, towels, linens, paper products, and dishes are fully stocked and properly arranged for guest use.
Maintain a quick and efficient work pace while ensuring quality results.
Assist with inventory management, including tracking cleaning supplies, linens, and guest-use items; notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
Identify and report maintenance concerns to ensure facilities remain safe and fully operational.
Promote and maintain high guest satisfaction through attention to detail and positive interactions.
Ensure routine tasks are completed consistently and efficiently.
Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members to maintain productivity and morale.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: At least six months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work 35+ hours per week
Reliable attendance
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
Availability to work weekends and some holidays
Ability to perform routine, physically active work
Must successfully complete the cleanliness and standards onboarding checklist within three weeks of employment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of: general housekeeping and custodial procedures, safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals, proper sanitation and cleanliness standards, basic inventory practices
Ability to: lead and coordinate the work of a crew, maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, provide friendly and professional guest service, identify maintenance issues and communicate them effectively, organize tasks and manage time efficiently
