About The Role:
This role sits within the Knowledge Management and Innovation team. Working closely with business development and marketing, you will research and analyze companies, competitors, and industries, turning that work into competitor profiles, industry briefings, market monitoring digests, and pitch support materials that directly inform how the firm pursues clients and competes in the market. What You'll Do:
Conduct in-depth research on companies, competitors, industries, and legal market trends, with a focus on corporate, litigation, and restructuring practices, to support BD, strategy, and client-facing initiatives.
Monitor and synthesize critical news, market activity, and intelligence affecting the firm, key clients, and priority industries, proactively surfacing relevant developments before they are requested.
Produce polished, analytically rigorous reports and briefings that meet exacting standards for accuracy, clarity, and professional presentation.
Track and maintain metrics for team request management and contribute to special projects as priorities evolve.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, business development research, or marketing analytics, preferably within a large law firm.
Advanced degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Solid understanding of the legal industry and the business environment affecting its clients.
Hands-on experience with Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, and LSEG Workspace and Excel.
Working knowledge of M&A and private equity deal structures and transaction types.
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for CI work, including prompt and context engineering.
Familiarity with legal and litigation research databases is a plus.
Able to synthesize complex information from multiple sources into clear, actionable intelligence and manage several concurrent projects under tight deadlines. xywuqvp
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings confidently to stakeholders at all levels.
