Shipping And Quality Control Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Quality Control Specialist to support outbound logistics and ensure all products meet quality standards before leaving the warehouse. This role is responsible for verifying product accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating shipments, and performing final quality inspections to ensure orders are shipped correctly and on time.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Logistics
Create shipping documents including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and shipping labels
Schedule outbound shipments including LTL, FTL, and parcel carriers
Assign appropriate shipping methods based on cost, service level, and delivery timeline
Communicate daily with management regarding order status, shipment progress, and potential delays
Verify shipment details such as weights, quantities, and documentation against order records before dispatch
Work with carriers and internal teams to ensure shipments leave on schedule
Quality Control
Perform final quality inspections before orders are shipped
Verify that products meet quality standards and specifications
Ensure all items are properly packaged, labeled, and documented
Confirm customer and carrier information before pallets are loaded onto trucks
Take and store photos of pallets, labels, and shipment condition
Document quality checks and maintain accurate inspection records
Identify quality or documentation issues and report them to the appropriate personnel
Warehouse & Process Support
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist with inventory verification and documentation
Work with sales and operations teams to ensure orders meet customer requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvements and report suggestions to management
Stay informed on shipping regulations, logistics procedures, and best practices
Skills and Attributes:

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or quality control preferred
Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or freight carriers preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and decision-making skills
Physical Requirements:
This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
