Overview
The Laurels of Bedford offers the Business Office Manager (BOM) Assistant role to support the Business Office Manager in managing the facility accounts receivable system.
Responsibilities
Prepare daily bank deposit for the General Account, and provide to the Business Office Manager (BOM) for posting.
Prepare daily deposit for the Resident Trust Account.
Distribute petty cash from Trust Account to Residents.
Be prepared for State Survey regarding the trust account.
Assist with Medicaid applications.
Obtain signatures on the Freedom of Choice once the MDS Coordinator inputs the LOCD into the State System.
Mail private statements after the Business Office Manager (BOM) reviews.
Make private collection calls on outstanding payments.
Check Consolidated Billing Invoices.
Mail notices of Medicare Non-Coverage once reviewed by the Business Office Manager (BOM).
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions (word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.).
Strong organizational and analytical skills; strong oral and written communications skills.
