About The Role

This role leads investment due diligence and research oversight across the firm’s advisory platforms and brokerage product shelf. The focus is on evaluating mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, model strategies and other investment solutions made available to advisors and clients. Responsibilities include initial due diligence, ongoing monitoring and risk assessment, with the goal of ensuring that all approved investment offerings meet the firm’s investment standards and regulatory requirements.
The role is a subject matter expert (SME) providing independent, rigorous investment analysis and research recommendations to internal stakeholders and investment committees. The individual will bring broad, multi-asset investment experience and strong analytical judgement to assess managers, strategies, and structures across multiple vehicle types while partnering closely with product, advisory, compliance and governance teams to support sound investment decision making.
Responsibilities

Manager Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research on investment managers, including analyzing historical performance, investment processes, risk management practices, and organizational structure.
Investment Due Diligence: Lead due diligence and ongoing monitoring for: Mutual funds and ETFs; Model strategies, SMAs and advisory platforms; Alternatives, ESG/SRI and specialty strategies, where available; All approved brokerage product shelf offerings
Ongoing Monitoring, Risk and Governance: Monitor investment strategies for performance trends, style drift, risk exposures and organizational changes. Prepare research materials for investment committees and governance forums. Identify and escalate any material issues to the appropriate forums.
Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, advisory, platform, compliance and legal teams to support the investment oversight process. Assist with due diligence in the new platforms, vendors, and product expansions as needed.
Client Engagement: Support client-facing teams by providing insights on manager selection and portfolio construction.
Leadership and Expertise: Contribute to the evolution of due diligence frameworks, research tools and evaluation standards. Serve as a trusted investment SME across the organization.
Risk Management & Control: Oversee current regulatory requirements for existing advisory programs and their respective investment solutions, as well as leading the overall investment efforts to comply with local, state and national regulatory requirements.
Research Coverage: Maintain research coverage across all major asset classes, including equity, fixed income, multi asset and alternative strategies.

Skills And Qualifications

Extensive experience in the financial services industry with background in investment research and due diligence within asset management, wealth management, or a related financial services environment.
Broad, multi-asset investment knowledge including equities, fixed income, multi-asset solutions and ETFs. Familiarity with SMAs and advisory platforms as well.
Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg, and rating services; strong knowledge of the application and understanding of manager fee components and pricing within a managed account program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex investment information and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders and committees.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Familiarity with Broker-Dealer and/or RIA business model.
Strong experience with investment research and analysis tools.
Understanding of advisory programs and fiduciary requirements.
Required licenses: Series 65/66 or ability to obtain in the first 90 days of employment. CFA preferred, Series 7 and 24 a plus.
This role is deemed a “covered associate” under SEC Rule 206(4)-5 and related regulations. Candidates must comply with political contribution rules and related pay-to-play standards. Applicants will be required to disclose U.S. political contributions as applicable.
Work Location

This position can be based in a Corebridge Financial office located in either Houston, TX; Woodland Hills, CA; or Jersey City, NJ and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. Remote may be considered.
Estimated Travel

May include up to 10% of time.
Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will depend on location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus under the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package.
