Job Overview

Madden's is currently seeking the position of Banquet & Event Setup for our summer 2026 season.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications.
May serve food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event order or as directed.
Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
Helps to maintain clean meeting rooms, event spaces, catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.

Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
Great decision-making skills.
Must be able to work alongside other people and independently.
The ability to establish and maintain relationships with vendors and markets is essential.
Time management.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.
Physical Demands
Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.
Expected Hours of Work
Variable hours based on event schedule; this is a night and weekend position. Hours primarily 2:30 pm Start time but can vary from 12:00pm to 4:00 pm shifts lasting until 1:30 am. 2:30pm 11:00pm with some Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
Travel
Less than 10% travel required.
