Hotel Valet Supervisor

The Hotel Valet Supervisor manages and supervises the valet parking staff, ensuring efficient, professional, and courteous service to all hotel guests. This position involves overseeing the safe handling of guest vehicles, maintaining the valet area, managing schedules, ensuring proper guest service, and upholding the hotel's standards for guest satisfaction and safety.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Supervise and Train Staff: Lead, coach, and mentor valet attendants to ensure they provide exceptional customer service. Oversee daily operations and ensure valet staff adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
Guest Service: Ensure guests' vehicles are parked and retrieved in a timely and professional manner. Provide excellent service to guests, answering questions, assisting with luggage, and offering directions as needed.
Parking Management: Oversee the management of parking spaces, ensuring maximum efficiency in parking and retrieving vehicles. Keep track of guest vehicles and provide timely and accurate service.
Safety and Vehicle Care: Ensure the safe and secure handling of guest vehicles. Perform regular checks on valet staff to ensure proper handling of vehicles and adherence to safety protocols.
Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and address guest complaints or concerns related to valet services in conjunction with security dept. Strive to exceed guest expectations and resolve issues promptly.
Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with front desk, bell services, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory of keys, vehicle tags, and other equipment. Ensure that the valet area is clean, organized, and functional at all times.
Scheduling and Payroll: Manage valet attendants' schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels. Approve timecards and assist with payroll administration.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, and reports on valet activity.
Ensure Compliance: Monitor compliance with local parking laws and regulations, as well as hotel policies regarding valet services and vehicle safety.
Qualifications/Requirements
Previous experience in a valet or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle guest concerns in a professional manner.
Knowledge of parking logistics, local traffic laws, and vehicle handling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working.
Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including telephones and computers.
Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
