Fiscal Support Clerk

The IPSS Fiscal Support Clerk is responsible for supporting the IPSS Department in the execution and timely delivery of information, payment processing, data collection, data entry, and reporting.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Responsible for completing the monthly and quarterly data and invoice reports. May assist Fiscal Analyst with collecting data for the purpose of completing budgets.
Reconcile invoices to statements and purchase orders, checking for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed.
Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting, documentation, and discrepancy issues related to invoices and reports across various funding sources.
Allocate bill payment per established policies and procedures.
File bills, vouchers, documents, and other material.
Support IPSS programs needed to maintain compliance with programmatic reporting.
Reconcile and submit credit information.
Attend and participate in staff meetings; take minutes of meetings and seminars as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/experience requirements:
Associates degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field; AND one year of general office experience.
OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with bookkeeping certificate or college coursework consisting of at least two classes of basic accounting or mathematics with a passing grade; AND two years of general office experience.
Other requirements include:
Attend local and out of area meetings and conferences as required per the funding source(s) or as directed.
Meet and maintain KCAO hiring requirements which include: criminal record clearance through the California Department of Justice, FBI and Child Abuse Centralized Index (CACI), National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW), and the California Sex and Arson Registry (CSAR) (Megan's Law). Health examination with tuberculin clearance.
Ability to be contacted outside of regularly scheduled work hours in case of emergency.
