Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment to capture critical cardiac and vascular data. What You'll Need: Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program, an associate degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab required. (Client requirement.) One of the following certifications is required (candidates whose ARRT certification lapsed prior to June 1, 2023, may qualify under LSRTBE exemption criteria): RCIS (CCI); RCES (CCI); RCS (CCI); Radiography (R) by ARRT; Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) by ARRT; Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) by ARRT; Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT; Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS; OB/GYN RDMS by ARDMS; Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS; Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via AHA required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification via AHA required. State licensure preferred based on modality. Louisiana: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE preferred. (Client preference.) Shift Name: Days. Shift Hours: 07:00-15:30. Shift Pattern: Days, 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per shift. Patient types: Cardiac catheterizations, peripheral interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), device implants. Role expectations: Perform fluoro imaging and digital image acquisition if licensed; act as radiation safety representative; precept and train Technicians/Technologists I/II; manage departmental inventory and daily charge reconciliation. Job Summary The Catheterization Laboratory Tech Lead is a senior, licensed technologist who provides leadership and advanced technical support for cath lab procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, room setup, procedural documentation, hemodynamic measurements, ECG recognition, aseptic technique adherence, radiation safety, inventory management, and charge capture accuracy. The Lead serves as a preceptor, supports team development, promotes patient safety, and collaborates with department leadership to maintain operational efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities Ensure major equipment functionality and document quality control as required. Perform daily room checks, supply stocking, and prepare rooms for scheduled procedures. Access and review patient schedules and enter accurate patient and procedure information into cath lab systems. Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment including imaging systems, IVUS, ICE, contrast injector, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and LVAD support tools as applicable. Scrub and assist physicians during procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and intervene for breaks in sterile technique. Serve as radiation safety representative during X-ray use and perform fluoro imaging if licensed. Provide training and competency assessment for new staff and act as a preceptor for technicians and technologists. Manage departmental inventory and complete daily charge reconciliation and charge capture processes. Support patient transport responsibilities and unit-based quality improvement and Magnet-related initiatives.
