Surgical Technologist (Neuro/Spine) – Main OR
Location: Birmingham, AL
Shift: Day Shift (06:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (ST) with a strong background in Neuro and Spine procedures to support a busy Main Operating Room. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
Assist surgeons during Neuro and Spine procedures
Ensure proper handling of instruments and surgical equipment
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety standards
Collaborate effectively with OR staff for smooth workflow
Schedule & Requirements
Shift: 06:00 AM – 04:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Call Requirement: Evenly distributed by coordinator
Weekend Requirement: As needed/on-call
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
Experience in Neuro and Spine surgeries
BLS certification
Preferred:
Experience with Vascular, Da Vinci (robotics), Orthopedics, or Maxillofacial procedures
