Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled
Ultrasound Technologist
for a contract opportunity with a minimum of 2 years of experience. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures, supporting radiologists, and ensuring proper care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced with specialized ultrasound systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols and procedures
Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety during exams
Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Capture and transfer images to PACS systems for physician review
Assist radiologists with procedures and provide technical support as needed
Maintain, clean, and perform minor troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment
Monitor and restock supplies to ensure uninterrupted workflow
Schedule patient exams, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient transport when necessary
Adhere to all safety standards and infection control protocols
Support onboarding and training of new ultrasound staff
Qualifications
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
(ARDMS)
required
ARRT certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required
Experience with prostate sonography required
Hands-on experience with VU Ultrasound System required
Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and imaging systems (PACS)
BLS from AHA - required
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of administrative and clinical workflows
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Important Details:
13-week contract position
Shift is 7.5 hrs/day (9 AM - 5:30 PM), 34.5 hrs/week
Location is New York, NY 10029
Pay Range for Locals: $52 - $56 per hour
Pay Range for Travelers: $2,350 - $2,400 per week
