
Senior Project Manager-Water/Wastewater (Corona)

We are seeking a
Senior Project Manager with direct experience in water/wastewater systems integration, industrial automation, or controls engineering environments
to lead complex projects from contract award through completion.
This role is responsible for managing
technical system integration projects —not traditional commercial construction—requiring close coordination with engineering, controls, and field service teams. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership,
technical project experience, and a proactive approach to risk management, scheduling, and client communication.
Note:
This role is not suited for candidates whose experience is primarily in commercial building or general construction project management.
An active PMP certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage
water/wastewater systems integration and automation projects
from initiation through closeout
Develop and maintain detailed project plans including
scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
Coordinate cross-functional teams including
engineering, controls/automation, procurement, sales, and technical services
Monitor project performance to ensure
milestones, deliverables, and technical requirements
are achieved
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines and budgets
Manage project financials including
forecasting, cost control, and change order management
Ensure compliance with
contractual requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates to internal leadership and clients
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and responsiveness
Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of project management experience in water/wastewater systems integration, industrial automation, or controls environments (required)
Proven success managing
technically complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Experience working with
SCADA, PLC-based systems, or industrial control systems strongly preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Project Management, or related field
(required)
Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP)
certification — required and current
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team coordination skills across technical disciplines
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Solid organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex project scopes simultaneously
Experience with
budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office and Sage (or similar ERP/project accounting tools)
Ability to effectively present technical and project information to clients and leadership
