Role Description
We are seeking Summer School Teachers for a temporary, on-site position in Queens, NY. In this role, teachers will design and deliver engaging lessons, implement provided curriculum, monitor student progress, and support students in achieving their learning goals. Educators will collaborate with school staff and communicate with families to help foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
Position Highlights
Private school setting
$65.00 per hour
5 hours per day, 5 days per week
Includes field trips on Fridays
Curriculum and instructional materials provided
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Experience in lesson planning, creating activities and delivering structured, effective instruction
Strong understanding of teaching strategies and classroom management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with students in grades 5–12
Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
