Resource 1 is seeking a

Sr.

Business Analyst

for a long-term contract position with our client in Chicago, Illinois. Individual must be local to Illinois and able to work onsite 2 days per week in downtown Chicago. Our client is

undergoing a

multi-year (estimated 3-5) financial transformation initiative

to replace legacy applications. The selected individual will join a core team supporting this effort, working alongside business stakeholders, implementation partners, and technical leads.

Responsibilities:
Document requirements, use cases/ user stories, UAT test cases, and test acceptance criteria.
Fit-gap analysis, business process discovery, and documentation for current/ future states.
Collaborate with implementation vendors to validate deliverables against the SOW.
Support UAT efforts, including executing test cases based on specific business functions.
Support the Project Manager with

daily standups, meeting coordination, and document tracking

using Azure DevOps (ADO).
Identify missing processes or requirements through interaction with stakeholders.
Participate in design sessions and demos.
Validate documentation generated by implementation partner/ vendor.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a

Business Analyst

in

enterprise-level IT transformation projects.
Proficiency in

Azure DevOps (ADO)

or

JIRA

for task tracking, user stories, and test case management.
Must be self-directed, proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable, with the ability to navigate a complex business environment with limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with enterprise business processes including

Finance, Supply Chain, and AP/AR.
Comfortable working in a hybrid Waterfall/ Agile delivery environment.
Background working with complex business structures and multiple stakeholder groups.
