Overview
The Transportation Engineer is responsible for managing the development of the project including coordination with client and subconsultants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of horizontal and vertical alignments, development of roadway plans, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, cost estimates and the development of technical reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Virginia
5+ years of relevant job experience related to highway engineering including experience with VDOT
Experience with designing roadway plans including cost estimates and preparation of constructions
Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
