Kanban-focused Scrum Master
with deep expertise in Kanban, specifically in flow management, WIP limits, and use of metrics like cycle time and throughput to optimize delivery.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
• Lead and coach up to three agile teams using Kanban and flow-based delivery practices.
• Operate autonomously to assess delivery health, identify systemic impediments, and drive continuous improvement.
• Design, evolve, and coach Kanban systems that improve flow, transparency, and predictability.
• Facilitate key Kanban events including Replenishment, Daily Kanban, Delivery Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Use flow metrics (e.g., WIP, cycle time, throughput, aging work, etc.) to guide evidence-based improvements.
• Coordinate dependencies and alignment across sprint-based, flow-based, hybrid teams, and projects using enterprise planning signals.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain healthy backlogs and delivery alignment.
• Serve as a peer mentor and champion agile and Kanban practices across the organization.
Must Haves:
The team needs someone with
strong Kanban experience who has led teams using Kanban methodology .
Experience maturing Kanban teams from scratch
The hire must be comfortable
helping optimize workflows and implement Kanban practices across teams that may not currently follow a true workflow structure .
Kanban teams operate in a
continuous workflow environment .
