Project Coordinator – Substation Engineering | Oakland, CA (Hybrid)
Swoon is hiring a
Project Coordinator
to support a leading utilities client, focused on managing engineering contractors within substation projects.
Location:
Oakland, CA ( LOCAL candidates only )
Hybrid:
1 day onsite/week (likely Mondays, subject to change)
Duration:
Through December 31, 2026
Pay Rate:
$93/hr W2 ( no C2C )
Key Responsibilities
Act as liaison between internal teams and substation engineering contractors
Coordinate vendor activities and support execution of outsourced engineering work
Analyze costs and recommend cost reduction initiatives
Evaluate contractor performance using established metrics
Lead vendor communication meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships
Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies
Support contract-related activities (MSAs) in partnership with sourcing teams
Provide workload forecasting and resource planning recommendations
Manage contractor workforce (including system access such as LAN IDs)

Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience working with
vendors/contractors (required)
Background in
utilities or engineering (strongly preferred)
Experience with
contracts/MSAs (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
