Position Summary
Acts as a liaison between the organization and Substation Engineering Contractors, providing planning, strategic analysis, operational support, and coordinating activities and special projects related to the execution of the Substation Owner's Engineering outsourced work portfolio.

Business travel to locations other than headquarters; mileage reimbursement available; other expenses case‑by‑case.
Hybrid Work Arrangement
Required onsite at Oakland once a week, likely on Mondays (subject to change).

Key Responsibilities
Support interactions with contractors to support work plan portfolio, prioritizing issues and facilitating corrective actions.
Analyze costs and recommend cost‑reduction initiatives based on data.
Analyze work processes and recommend improvements.
Provide analysis for workload efficiency and recommend future resource needs.
Lead special projects to resolve urgent issues.
Build relationships with vendors and their leads.
Work with LOBs to gather feedback and make improvements.
Maintain guidance to Owners Engineers and Internal Engineers on dealing with contractors.
Work closely with Sourcing and Contract Management on MSAs and contracts.
Provide vendors with workload forecasts to gain efficiencies.
Manage LAN IDs and contractor workforce.
Assess vendor capabilities and strengths and provide improvement feedback.
Evaluate contractor performance based on established business metrics.
Lead contractor communications meetings.
Education Requirements
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience
3 years of related experience or equivalent
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Laptop issued; additional equipment must be supplied by the contractor.
Pre‑determined amount may be expensed for internet or cell with manager approval.
Local candidates only – Bay Area/Oakland work location.
Mileage reimbursement for business travel to a location other than headquarters; other expenses case‑by‑case.
