Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced
IT Systems Administrator
to manage, support, and enhance a diverse IT environment across on‑premise, virtual, and cloud platforms. This role plays a key part in ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability while driving automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Windows, Linux, IBM i, SAN/NAS, backup platforms, and cloud/hosted systems
Troubleshoot system, connectivity, and performance issues in collaboration with network and infrastructure teams
Monitor backups, manage patching and upgrades, and support disaster recovery planning and testing
Respond to incidents and outages with ownership and urgency
Drive automation and efficiency using tools such as Ansible and scripting technologies
Maintain clear technical documentation and runbooks
Partner with security teams to strengthen system hardening and access controls
Work with vendors on system implementations and upgrades
Qualifications
Experience supporting physical, virtual, and cloud environments
Strong troubleshooting, automation, and networking fundamentals
Familiarity with patch management, DR/HA concepts, and system lifecycle management
Exposure to IBM i, AI‑assisted tools, or automation platforms is a plus
Willingness to provide occasional after‑hours support and travel within the NY tri‑state area
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the $80k/Annum to $110k/Annum with Benefits for this position.
