Our client is seeking an experienced
PMO Manager
to lead enterprise portfolio management and support strategic,
business-focused initiatives
across multiple divisions. This position will ensure projects align with organizational goals while establishing standards, improving processes, and providing leadership visibility into project performance.
This is a
business-side PMO position
focused on operational and organizational initiatives rather than deeply technical IT project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
portfolio management, PMO governance, process documentation, and stakeholder collaboration .
Key Responsibilities
Manage
enterprise project portfolio oversight , ensuring initiatives align with organizational strategy and leadership priorities
Oversee and coordinate
business-focused projects, programs, and strategic initiatives
across multiple divisions
Monitor
resource allocation and team capacity
to support successful project delivery
Establish and maintain
project management standards, methodologies, and tools
Provide
executive-level reporting and visibility
into project status, risks, and performance
Develop and maintain
operational documentation , including workflows, governance guides, and procedural documentation
Support
continuous service improvement (CSI)
initiatives, including facilitating post-incident reviews and implementing operational improvements
Help maintain the organization’s
knowledge management resources , including internal documentation libraries and learning materials
Partner with stakeholders to translate
business goals and workflows into clear procedural and technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience
in portfolio management, project management, or PMO leadership
Experience
managing or supporting a Project Management Office (PMO)
Advanced proficiency in the
Microsoft productivity suite , including:
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Microsoft Planner (Premium Edition)
Visio (or Lucidchart)
Experience using
Microsoft Planner to manage projects or portfolios
Strong
technical writing and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and document
business processes, procedures, and workflows
Experience supporting
continuous improvement or service improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with
ITIL Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)
practices
Experience facilitating
Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs)
and implementing process improvements
Background in
business analysis or process improvement
Experience with
business process automation (BPA)
initiatives
