Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to support a manufacturing facility by driving a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across environmental, health, and safety programs.
This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to maintain a safe and compliant workplace while improving overall performance and risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulations
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and training initiatives
Lead safety committee meetings and promote a strong safety-first culture
Partner with operations and engineering teams to support process safety and continuous improvement efforts
Conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Maintain and update EHS documentation, procedures, and reporting requirements Including regulatory reporting such as SARA Tier II, Title V, TRI, and related compliance documentation
Track and report key EHS metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives to leadership
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors
Support initiatives to reduce workplace injuries, workers’ compensation costs, and safety-related downtime
Participate in or lead site-level EHS projects and cross-functional initiatives
Travel to additional facilities as needed
Qualifications
3–5+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
Experience with incident investigation, audits, and compliance reporting
Ability to influence and collaborate across operations, engineering, and leadership teams
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience leading or supporting safety programs and training initiatives
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field required
