About the Role:
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
to support and strengthen site-level safety, health, and environmental programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture across operations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering with leadership and frontline employees to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain site-level environmental, health, and safety programs
Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local/state regulatory requirements
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
Deliver EHS training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills
Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, incidents, and training
Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
Monitor and report EHS metrics and trends to site leadership
Promote a culture of safety through employee engagement and education
Stay current on regulatory changes and best practices
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Safety, Environmental Science, or related field)
3–5+ years of experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental compliance requirements
Strong investigation, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS tracking systems
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
