We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Estimator
with experience in civil construction to join our team in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities
Sound organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, Geotech.
Prepare bids, select vendors/subcontractors and estimate 'self-performed' crew compositions and production rates.
Make scope of work determinations and perform quantity take-offs.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients.
Communicate and collaborate with wide range of individuals, including both Operations and other Estimating team members.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means, and methods); supervision, estimating, schedules, budget, and safety.
Knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements.
Valid driver's license.
Experience with Agtek Earthwork take-off software is preferred.
A desire to learn and grow.
Willingness to cooperate in a team environment.
Demonstrate 100% detailed understanding of project scope.
Demonstrate knowledge of Heavy Civil construction. Specifically, earthwork, underground water, underground wastewater, underground drainage and street/highway construction.
Education and Experience
Education : High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's Preferred).
Experience : Over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil construction projects, including structure projects, and experience in estimating projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
