Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking experience in a school-based environment, working with children ages 3-8. The initial assignment covers the Extended School Year (ESY) program running June 29 through July 30, with the added opportunity to extend into a maternity leave coverage from September 8 through October 20. Key Qualifications and Skills: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current CCC-SLP or CFY status Experience in school settings, preferably with pediatric and preschool populations Background working with students with multiple disabilities, ASD, or in self-contained classrooms Ability to develop effective communication and social skills in young children Strong organizational and caseload management abilities Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of 25 students, primarily preschoolers, including those with ASD and multiple disabilities Collaborate with special education staff in self-contained classrooms Write and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals Conduct speech/language assessments and participate in team meetings Maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation Provide parent/caregiver updates as needed
Schedule: June 29–July 30 (ESY): Monday–Thursday, 8:30am–12:30pm September 8–October 20 (Maternity Leave): Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm This is an excellent chance to sharpen your pediatric SLP skills in a setting that values teamwork, compassion, and student-centered interventions.
