
Temporary-Technical/Paraprofessional

The Innovation Studies Lab in the Department of Psychology at NCSU seeks a temporary research assistant to support Social Network Analysis (SNA) activities for two USDA‑funded research projects focused on low‑moisture food safety and sustainable dairy systems. The position will support analysis of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement networks.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage relational
etwork datasets.
Conduct social network analyses (centrality, density, clustering).
Develop network visualizations and summaries of findings.
Assist with interpretation and reporting of results.
Maintain organized documentation to support reproducibility.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary research team members.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher.
Social network analysis skills, proficiency in analytical software (e.g., Python, Gephi, Excel).
Data management and analysis skills.
Scientific writing skills, teamwork skills.
Experience applying SNA in research or evaluation settings.
Familiarity with agricultural, food systems, or public health research.
Strong data visualization and communication skills.
Work Schedule & Salary
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible.
Anticipated Salary: $25–$28 per hour.
